About Us

The village hosts: Erik and Anette, founders of Acacia Resorts.
Scandinavians, who initially moved to France 16 years ago for the climate and the Mediterranean lifestyle, after having travelled extensively. They both have a background in alternative tourism, Erik as an expedition leader and organizer of adventure tours in Africa & Asia, Anette was trained in the hotel industry, and they met on one of Erik's overland tours. They have been running Village Catalan as a residential resort since 1997 and offer a choice of action or theme holidays combined with the comfort of their spacious self-catering homes.

The concierge couple, Terry and Joan, have been regular guests in Village Catalan for 10 seasons, and when Terry retired from the construction industry, they moved permanently to Vernet-les-Bains. Terry has great local knowledge, plays golf and petanque, and has the best technical background to be concierge. His own words: "Having retired in 2006 from a high pressure and stressful industry, it is a pleasure assisting Erik & Anette in their family run business. A truely peaceful and tranquil location".
